Split Systems:
A Split system is one of the most common systems installed in residential applications. It consists of a condenser which is located outside and a gas furnace and coil which is usually located in a garage, closet, or attic.
Heat Pumps:
Heat pumps installations are on the rise as there is a big push for renewable energy and efficiency. Heat pumps utilize all electric energy to heat and cool your home. For more information on heat pumps we recommend watching this video about why heat pumps are essential for the future.
The Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022 is set to provide historical tax credits for home electrification projects. This includes the installation of qualified heat pump systems. For more up to date information we encourage you to visit the Home Energy Rebate Program Page.
Package Units:
A package unit is just as the name implies, a single unit which contains both the air conditioning condensing unit as well as the heating element of a furnace or air handler in heat pump applications. These units are typically installed on the roof but can also be installed on the ground.
Packaged units are connected to the supply and return duct work of your home and are usually applicable for homes that don’t have enough space for a furnace or air handler indoors.
Ductless Mini Splits
The main advantage of this type of system is that it doesn’t utilize duct work to move air like a central air conditioning system. These are usually wall mounted systems that contain an indoor and outdoor section which can be utilized for single rooms or in some circumstances whole home applications.
